Part 1: Cottonseeds Pretreatment and Prepressing Workshop
1.Cleaning
Utilizes aerodynamic differences between cottonseeds and impurities for wind-based separation, effectively removing light dust and partial heavy residues like stones.
2.Dehulling
Employs disc hullers with high-strength alloy steel tooth plates to crush shells through torsional force, offering durability and low maintenance.
3.Kernel-Shell Separation
Rotating cylinder screens with angled beating rods achieve precise separation through differential rotational speeds and directional impacts.
4.Flaking
Alloy rollers paired with hydraulic systems destroy cellular structures (flakes ≤0.3mm), while sealed designs minimize solvent loss.
5.Cooking
Layered conditioning pots maintain uniform mixing (5mm blade clearance) and humidity via full-sealing, enhancing flake integrity.
6.Pressing
Dedicated cottonseed oil presses achieve 5-8% residual oil with energy-efficient, compact layouts.
7.Filtration
Automatic slag-removal filters recycle residual oil and reduce impurities, supporting downstream degumming.

Cottonseed Oil Solvent Extraction Process
Solvent Extraction
Pre-treated meal enters the extractor via a scraper conveyor, undergoing countercurrent solvent spraying (from concentrated to fresh miscella) to maximize oil recovery. Wet meal is discharged through a grid, while purified miscella undergoes hydrocyclone filtration.
Desolventization
Wet meal is pre-desolventized using indirect steam, followed by direct steam treatment in a DTDC system to remove residual solvent. Moisture-controlled meal is dried, cooled, and transported for storage.
Miscella Evaporation
Two-stage long-tube evaporators concentrate miscella via indirect steam, with liquid-level controls ensuring stable flow. Residual solvent is stripped under negative pressure using direct steam in a vacuum tower, yielding crude oil.
Solvent Recovery
Condensates from evaporators and strippers are segregated in a water separator, with solvent recycled and wastewater treated via steam stripping. Non-condensable gases pass through mineral oil absorption before safe emission.
1.Degumming
Bag filtration removes solids, followed by phosphoric acid mixing and alkali neutralization to eliminate colloids and starch. Automated temperature control ensures precision.
2.Deacidification
Free fatty acids are neutralized via alkali treatment, reducing acidity to food-grade levels.
3.Decoloring
Preheated oil blends with activated clay (50t/day system) for 30-60min adsorption, achieving pigment removal. Armagh filters separate waste clay, with residual particles refined through precision filtration.
4.Deodorization
High-vacuum steam stripping removes volatile compounds, yielding odor-free oil.
5.Dewaxing
Controlled cooling crystallizes waxes, filtered to enhance oil clarity.
6.Degossypol
Solvent extraction or alkaline refining reduces toxic gossypol to <0.045%, meeting safety standards
